KALEOS is a Greek-inspired name. It comes from kaleidos, which is a union of the root kalos, meaning beautiful, good – concepts that were synonymous in ancient Greece – and eidos, which refers to shape, appearance.

Thus, KALEOS brings together two concepts, beauty and shape, which perfectly represent our focus and tireless mission: the search for a beautiful shape, absolute harmony in each piece we create.

But although our name is inspired by classical Greek, we didn’t stick with the ancient word, kaleidos, but gave it a slight spin, a subtle twist that brought it up to date.

Finding a name that reflects your personality and positioning in such an accurate and organic way is really special, and we feel proud and lucky about that.

When and how the brand came into being also plays a strong role in our DNA: KALEOS was born in 2014 in Barcelona, a cosmopolitan, multicultural city with a great personality that imprints on our brand. A city that also greatly influences art and a vast architectural heritage.

An urban centre that has attracted and welcomed a huge number of authors, social movements and urban cultures. KALEOS was born here, imbued with this vibrant and artistic personality. But the past is only an inspiration, there is no inheritance or prejudice, only the motivation to create something new.

Moreover, the fact that we are an independent brand – at all levels: economic, creative, management – has enabled us to focus on the excellence of the product and everything that goes with it. KALEOS was born as a blank sheet of paper on which to draw the future with full freedom: no rules and no fear of failure. That is how we have become what we are: The Beautiful Shape. A brand that focuses on shape and quality that takes care of every detail to the maximum – the subtle makes us different, it makes us strong. KALEOS is design and craftsmanship.
